It all started with a dream of opening a cozy B&B in Spain. But once we crunched the numbers, it became clear that this wasn't our path. The idea of creating a new home, however, stuck with us, quietly simmering in the background.

Fast forward to a vacation in Bali: paradise itself. Our phones, as if reading our minds, started serving up real estate ads. Curiosity turned into serious conversations, and before we knew it, we were exploring the possibility of investing in this beautiful destination. Partnering with a Dutch company specializing in overseas property purchases was a game-changer. Their expertise and local connections felt like unlocking a treasure map—we couldn’t have done it without them!

Soon, we were back in Bali with a shortlist of six properties. But much like our growing love for nasi goreng, that list quickly expanded. Luckily, we had an incredible local contact who turned house-hunting into an exciting adventure rather than a chore. Of course, there were challenges—learning about construction, navigating local regulations—but those bumps added to the journey's charm.

Today, we are deep into designing our dream escape: Kaba-Kaba Villa, which is set to welcome guests in March 2026. Imagine a modern boho oasis that blends style with ultimate comfort. We’re choosing finishes, debating over the perfect shade of “beachy beige,” and ensuring every detail reflects our vision.

A key player in this journey has been our amazing partner, Melody, who turned what could have been a stressful process into an experience filled with joy, laughter, and probably a few too many coconuts!

For those dreaming of their own Bali haven, here’s the deal: foreigners can lease land long-term (think of it as a never-ending Airbnb). The process can be tricky, so do your research thoroughly—ensure the sellers are legitimate and the land titles are genuine. We learned this the hard way, but it’s all part of the adventure.

Our website is already live with the basics, and once the villa is complete, we’ll be adding fresh photos, videos, and ramping up our social media presence.
